TRANSFORMING VOB
INTO AVI with AUTO GK
I have not
used this software for very long, but am highly impressed with what it can
do, and it's pretty easy to learn, so you should have no problems with it.
+ Open the
software
+ Select your
input file (it will be named something 1 VOB)
+ Name your
output file
+ Under
"select output size," choose 700 MB (the size that will fit on
most DVD-R disks; you can also play around with this, and use 350 for
one-hour episodes)
+ Hit
"Add Job"
+ Hit
"Start"
This program
will open up sub-programs. That is all right. Leave it alone until it is
finished (it will encode the movie file at least twice -- this is a long
process, so it is recommended that you save avi transfer for a time when
you will not be needing your computer for a couple of hours)
When finished,
it's time to edit the movie!
