Are you interested in becoming one of
our writers? That's excellent! I cannot
wait to hear from you! Please consult
our guidelines in order to better know
what we are looking for (and up your
chances of being accepted as a
contributor).
Writing for Femnista:
Please follow these guidelines when
submitting material to upcoming issues
of Femnista.
Our Themed Topics:
- Send me a submission request first,
pitching your idea
- DO meet deadlines (you will be
notified two weeks before the due date)
- Please keep all submissions under
1,200 words
- Make sure it is all-ages appropriate
- Please remember to put your name on
your manuscript
- You may include your blog address if
you wish
As the editor, I have the right to
shorten and edit your work, and also
reject anything for any reason if it
does not fit the standards of my
publication. The magazine retains all
copyright. It also does not endorse any
opinions in the publication unless
otherwise stated.
At this time, we cannot offer payment.
This is a hobby for myself and my
writers, a way for them to pad their
writing portfolio and gain name
recognition. In future, as we become
more successful, this may change.
Writing Reviews:
- Contact me with your name and previous
writing experience (blogs, etc)
- Give no more than the plot of the
first 20 minutes of a movie or episode
of a TV show away in your review (don't
give too much plot away!)
- Make note of any potentially offensive
content in the film (language, sexual
content, nudity, anti-religious,
witchcraft, etc)
The same goes for reviews as for
articles -- I maintain the right to
edit, shorten, etc., as I see fit. I
also maintain the right to keep this
material up for the foreseeable future,
even after your association as a
reviewer has ended. I'm sorry, this is a
voluntary effort, so I cannot pay you --
but I do appreciate your help.
