About Me

I'm in my late twenties and started this website as a way to connect with other young people. I love movies and television shows, as you might imagine. Most of my time is spent divided between various hobbies (I enjoy scrapbooking, hoop dancing, sketching, and attempting to play the piano) and writing. That is pretty much my life. I journal. I blog. I write occasional fan fiction. I review. But my real passion is fiction. I have written eight novels and self-published seven. I am currently working on a fantasy novel in the hope of opening up a Christian branch within the genre. I hope to finish it by the summer and find a normal publisher. If you feel so led, pray for me that I will have wisdom and that the right doors will open.

I grew up in church but did not recommit my life to Christ until the age of seventeen, when a Women of Faith conference opened my eyes and made me realize that true Christianity is not all about repression and being "boring" but having an amazing relationship with the Creator of the Universe. I am a work in progress but God is faithful in constantly mending and trimming my faults and drawing me nearer to Him. I believe His purpose for me is to do what I can with the gifts He has given me. I don't know what that involves but am eager to find out -- and willing to do whatever He asks of me.

Currently, the most beloved thing in my life apart from my family and a circle of much-beloved friends is my half-Siamese cat, Mina. She is the most cantankerous, demanding pet I have ever owned, and teaches me something about myself every day. (Mostly that my reflexes can be faster than hers.) I really love all kinds of animals but cats hold a special place in my heart. Other than that there isn't much to know about me except I have unusual taste. I am content having high tea and watching a costume drama or eating spaghetti and indulging in a little Spock adoration (i.e., watching Star Trek). When I am not slammin' to tunes by popular pop artists, I am reveling in the delightful melodies of Josh Groban. Basically, I am your average young woman just doing the best she can and trusting God with the rest.

Writers Guidelines

We ask that your submission be well written and that you remember to list anything potentially offensive in a movie. You don't need to be graphic, but we do have an enormous amount of responsibility to be accurate in our reviews since many of our readers rely on our judgments when making movie viewing choices. You must include at least the first 1/4th of the plot (to interest the reader) but refrain from giving away vital plot points or other revealing aspects of the film's twists and turns (unless they fall beneath content). You must also remark on content itself and state your opinion on the film, whether or not it contains any hateful references toward faith, or any political stance that our readers might want to be aware of (is it pro-life or pro-choice? does it bash liberals or conservatives?). There is no age restriction but we prefer our writers old enough to have some writing experience and young enough to know what our central target readers like most.
